Enjoy the flavor of fresh thyme in a variety of recipes. This herb is perfect for container gardening indoors, especially in our SeedGem product. The biodegradable box allows for the herb to be grown indoors when the weather is cooler outside and then transplanted into an outdoor planter for the warmer months. The leaves of this herb may be small but they hold a lot of flavor, fresh and dry. It is not only is this herb delicious in soups, salads, and stews, it also produces beautiful blooms of pale pink flowers at the tips of the stems. Those flowers are edible as well and will attract bees. Though if you are looking to get the boldest flavor out of your thyme, pluck the leaves before the blooms appear. When planting; place the soil pellet into the polybag with 3 tablespoons of water and wait for the soil to expand. Once expanded push the top of the planter into the box and fill it with soil. Plant the seeds so that they are covered in soil and water as needed. Once your seedlings reach 2-3″ recycle the polybag and plant the entire paper planter into a larger container or in a soil plot outdoors once the danger of frost has passed.
